According to Section 18 of the RERA Act, the builder’s excuses do not matter. If the promised date is crossed, you are entitled to:
- Interest on Delay: The builder must pay you interest for the delayed period if you choose to wait for the flat.
- Full Refund: You have the absolute right to cancel the booking and demand your entire principal amount back PLUS interest.
